Apply Scalability Settings Not Working

Hi all,

Just noticed that my Scalability Settings are not updating during runtime in Standalone or PIE. The changes only take effect after restarting the session. I’m using blueprint to call Get Game User Settings → Set Overall Scalability Level → Apply Non-Resolution Settings.

I also cannot update the scalability settings using Execute Console Command for the various sg. commands (sg.ShadowQuality, etc.). This has the same effect, and only applies after restart.

I can understand why it won’t work during PIE, but Standalone should work, right?

Is this working as intended? Will it function only in Shipping Build? I haven’t had a chance to make a new build since moving to 5.7.

Ok, I made a shipping build and can confirm it doesn’t work in a packaged game either. It will not refresh any scalability settings until the map is re-loaded…

Nervermind. This was my error. I had a disconnected node. Everything works as expected now.
