Anti-Aliasing with Control Rig Breaks Everything

When I have a Control Rig track in my Sequence and also enable the use of anti-aliasing, all animation of that character in the sequence breaks and the character just slides around.

It breaks animation from the control rig tracks, baked animations and procedural animatoins from the animation blueprint, they all break.

If I delete all the control rig strips from the character it works. If I try to render without using any AA, it works.

Submitted a bug report

  1. Make a Sequence and add something that has a control rig
  2. Add a control rig track and animate it.
  3. Add a standard ‘animation track’ as well
  4. Ajust the bounds (start/end) of the control rig so the animation track is outside of it, allowing it to play properly
  5. Render the scene using anti-aliasing from the movie render queue

Baked animations and animations from the animation blueprint both break. Only animation made from the Control Rig works. It appears that when rendering with AA, the Control Rig tracks are “forced-ON” at all times. This breaks anything not keyframed by a Control Rig track (everything outside of the control rig)

I suppose no one uses control rig with AA…

I’ve heard nothing back from my bug report. What can I expect?
