Hi - I’ve got a linear content project where the viewport (which is what we’re looking at when lighting) looks different from what we get in play-in-editor (which matches MRQ renders). Was wondering which settings we should be looking at.
Can’t show an image from the actual short, but here I’ve just ripped out all geometry and thrown in some cubes. Top is viewport, bottom is PIE (which, again, matches MRQ renders). Bottom is obviously brighter and… well it’s not obvious here with the white cube renders but it’s also a little washed out, so it’s not just something I can adjust with exposure compensation. With real geometry and real materials the difference is pretty significant.
Game Mode is turned on in the viewer, and I have our OCIO display turned on. PPV and shot camera both have exposure set to manual (instead of auto) with the same exposure compensation. Cinematic mode is turned on. Viewport is showing the camera view.
Any other settings I should look at?
Also… can anybody quantify what exactly is different between PIE and looking at something in the viewer? Like… what other ‘stuff’ is getting run, or what is getting deactivated or activated?
Thanks.
