Any hope of getting a “mega” download link?.. lmao
Will there be some forum hero, like Awesome Allar, who will stream all the games?
VictorBurgosGames is streaming the games on twitch.
Will continue streaming in about an hour: Twitch
I randomly downloaded one of the games (went for a 5-man group to see real quality and ended up getting the entry from Goodbye Games) and it wouldn’t even load. It also had a good go at starting SteamVR, Oculus Home and Viveport before crashing so I think it may have been a VR game. I have the hardware for it, but it didn’t work regardless.
Back when we were submitting to the thread we all had a chance to test each other’s games. That might have been more of a benefit than we all realised.
For my playlist:
And I sort of agree with Antidamage. But I would like to see Epic Games Hosted Servers for submissions. One easy, painless way to upload everything, including the new submission form. But more extensive. We need to know if it’s VR (and which HMD is supports), Multiplayer (local, online, steam, number of players, etc), IF it has an ended, so I and other don’t waste our time playing too long trying to win something unwinnable.
I want Epic to host, or use so that the submissions are properly time-stamped and there’s no guess work if there’s a late entry or not.
After being done with the project and submitting it, I’ve encountered a bug in my game that rends the player unable to retry the game more than once (in a single execution of the game). Will I be able to submit a bug-free version of the game at some point? I don’t mind being judged by the bugs in my original entry, but I would like to have a better version made available to the public at some point.
It has been a blast to participate on the jam and I fully intend on joining in next time!
Thanks for the attention!
When should we expect winners to be announced?
@Amanda.Bott , after watching Burgos play my UE4JAM submission (Molla Shine) I think I went too deep with the theme. Molla Shine is very strongly linked to the theme and I don’t want to lose points due to trying too hard. The Molla (flying bugs) epitomise the meaning behind the quote / theme which is about bringing your own meaning to a meaningless existence (bringing light to the darkness - I Googled and read the article containing the quote). The Molla only live for one minute, but in that time they try to be the best they can be. These bugs are revered because they remind us to be our best in the time we have. Our goal in the game is to compete with them, to push them harder and make them shine brighter (literally and figuratively). The ones that glow the brightest catch the attention of the Queen and get to reproduce before they die. This in turn gives us meaning and satisfaction in helping them meet their potential and continue to breed. It aims to be a very positive game and message
I just wanted to point that out to your judges. Next time I will go for a more literal approach
p.s. Thanks to @VictorBurgos for playing all the games. I don’t know how you managed it!
Let me know if anyone might need some voice over done!
