The question here is about rendering Anisotropic shaders on Nanite geometry.
I looks like it simply doesn’t work at all and there is no information about that in the docs whatsoever.
You can switch to Strata/Substrate Materials but then it’s just glitchy: (left with Nanite disabled, right with Nanite enabled) (you can see the same results in the Content Examples project as well)
Looks like there are some changes coming up in 5.3 with “Explicit Tangents” in Nanite Settings. On Nanite geo Anisotropy is only supported via Substrate Materials.
Question :
is Anisotropy work on nanite with classic material ? on unreal 5.4
i try on unreal 5.3 still not working and i really need this. substrate is still experimental.
is there an ETA, when it will work ?
