The question here is about rendering Anisotropic shaders on Nanite geometry.
I looks like it simply doesn’t work at all and there is no information about that in the docs whatsoever.
You can switch to Strata/Substrate Materials but then it’s just glitchy: (left with Nanite disabled, right with Nanite enabled) (you can see the same results in the Content Examples project as well)
I suspect it has something to do with how Nanite treats Normal and Tangent data?
What am I missing? What am I doing wrong?
