While using 2023.1 Preview 1 I have seen apples to apples scenes/settings take double the time to animate. Is anyone else seeing this trend?
Hi ,
Just so I'm understanding correctly, you're saying that scenes when you try to export media, the render times are inconsistent for the same media? Or is this referring to files converted between Twinmotion versions?
In the case of the latter, we are investigating performance issues between Twinmotion 2022.2.3 and 2023.1 Preview 1 for converted files. There should be improvements in the Preview 2 update soon.
In the case of the former, if you could submit a bug report here with a copy of any files you noticed this on, as well as your Twinmotion.log files (Where to find Twinmotion .log file) from your export attempts, our support team can investigate further.
Best,
Raghib
I am saying that PT render times in 2023.1 Preview 1 are crazy. Double those of 2022.2.3 for the same scene and the same settings (not converted). Don't have time to give you all the dirty details now, but just letting you and others know that something is very different and I wont use 2023 if this is the case going forward. PT render/animation times were already problematic, but in 2023.1 they are unusable.
Thanks for clarifying.
In that case, these issues should be addressed in the upcoming 2023.1 Preview 2 update, which should address issues where performance has been degraded compared to 2022.2.3.
Best,
Raghib
