We just switched to 5.7 and hit an issue transforming actors in seqeuncer that contain control rigs. The movement of the actor is glitcy and doesn’t follow the mouse. It will behave normally again if i mute the CR track or exit animation mode. Please see attached video
Steps to Reproduce
- Add Manny SKM to a BP
- add the BP to sequencer
- ensure a CR track has been created
- Enter animation mode
- Try translate the BP via viewport gizmo
- Notice that transform behaviour is erratic
- Switch back to selection mode
- Notice that the transform behaviour is normal again
Hey there,
I’ve logged an issue that you can follow here: https://issues.unrealengine.com/issue/UE-355652 it’ll take a little bit to show up.
You mentioned this doesn’t happen as badly with the default gizmo? I’m slightly able to repro the issue but not to the degree that you are. In the video, this is in a default version of 5.7?
Would you be able to send your project file over for the video you sent with all the config files as well?
Dustin
Hi Dustin
The video i recorded was in 5.7 launcher version. But we initially hit this using our custom rigs in 5.7 VP partner stream (48221460). Attached is a gif showing that there is issues with both standard and experimental gizmo, but its much worse with experimental gizmo. Also attached the assets and config from the scene in the gif
cheers
Luke

We have a changelist that you can cherry-pick, but it will be released in the future in 5.7.2. CL: 47880391 in your perforce connection or https://github.com/EpicGames/UnrealEngine/commit/727c3f6e8d5e947bae94164049e39486d1812a1f
If you need a workaround, you can disable Run Construction Script on Drag in the BP class settings as well.
Dustin
Ah nice! We used to disable construction script on drag on our previous projects to stop characters reverting to T pose on drag. For some reason we were no longer doing that on the new projects. Thanks
