Animation from Maya import problem

Hi! Im trying to import a animation and rig from maya 2016 extension 2. The FBX exports fine and the animation/rig looks ok in other maya scenes. However when I put it into unreal 4 the animation is only applied to some of the bones and it plays at like an 8th of its original speed over the 500 frames i have it set to.
