Animating VR blueprint character with Matinee

I’m trying to use Matinee to move the default Exploration Character from the VR Template, such that he walks on a set path but can move his head freely to look around. I don’t want to lose all the functionality by animating the static mesh, but the character won’t take an animation track in Matinee. Any Tips?

Here is a simple setup that should help you get started.

  • I added a Target Point and created the Matinee based off of it.

  • This blueprint sets the Player to the Target Point as it moves along the Matinee track.
