The root joint is translating correctly, but the chest joint isn’t. The FBX looks like it properly exported from Maya; I can reopen it and it keeps all the right animation. How can I get it to work in UE4?
It seems the issue doesn’t appear with custom rigs. I’d like the know why the Mannequin doesn’t allow child bone animated translations, though.
I finally got a fix for this, go to your skeleton options and go to advanced and turn on re targeting options. (No idea why these retargeting animations have an impact on animations that aren’t retargeted) and make sure all the bones are set to animation instead of skeleton. If it is set to skeleton it will only take the rotation and scale. -Cheers!
