My project is blueprint based but I created an empty C++ class and it has no codes, its completely empty but the game is not packaging.
It is showing this error: clang++: error: linker command failed with exit code 1 (use -v to see invocation)
The error message you are seeing indicates that there is a problem with the linking process during packaging. Since your empty C++ class has no code, it is unlikely to be the cause of the error. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and resolve the issue:
- Check the full error message: The error message you posted is incomplete and does not provide much information about the specific cause of the error. Try looking at the full error message to see if it provides more details, such as the name of the object file or library that is causing the linking problem.
- Check your build settings: Make sure that your project’s build settings are configured correctly. Check that the appropriate build targets and configurations are selected, and that any required libraries or frameworks are included.
- Check for missing or incorrect libraries: If the error message indicates that a library is missing or incorrect, make sure that it is included in your project and that the correct version is being used.
- Clean and rebuild: Try cleaning your project and rebuilding it from scratch. Sometimes this can resolve issues with linking or other build errors.
- Check for other errors: Look for other errors or warnings that may be related to the linking problem. Sometimes a build error in one part of the project can cause issues in another part of the build process.
