I had a very unpleasant problem, for some reason, while setting up the scene, I didn’t notice how the ambient occlusion maps stopped being displayed in the materials; on the model, if you go to view the model itself, these maps are visible, but for some reason they are not visible in the viewport, I’ve already tried everything , allow static lighting is turned off, and for some reason ambient occlusion is not visible in the viewport in all projects, I’m attaching below what it looks like, I hope for your help. (sorry if my english so bad)
To use AO maps with dynamic lighting it requires that “allow static lighting” be disabled in project settings.
Also please note that AO is only ever visible in indirect light, never in direct lighting.
The trouble is that “allow static lighting” is turned off, and even if there is no direct light, the ambient occlusion will not be visible from the model in the viewport
This screenshot is directly lit. Indirect lighting would be bounce lighting in shadows or skylighting.
