Ambient lighting with post-process volume


I´m using only dynamic light, because I want to have a realistic day/night cycle. It all works well for the exterior scenes, but my interior places are very dark due to the lack of interior dynamic GI. So I thought of placing a postprocess volume around my house and setup an ambient cubemap.

This works, but it also changes the lighting of the exterior scene as well. A very strange effect if the player looks out of a window at night time for example.

Is there a way of changing the ambient light of an area without affecting its surroundings? What´s the use of a volume, if the effect is global? :-/
