Hi Guys,
I’m trying to create a material blend between two material instances using an alpha. I assume to do this you create a new material in which to blend the two but I’m unsure if I have to reference the instances into the new material? or something else to create the blend. Any thoughts?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers
David
Normally, you have to put all the textures in one material to blend with a lerp and alpha.
You can nest materials using material layers, but I don’t know if you can blend with that.
Or do you mean blending between a rock and the ground, or something like that?
Thanks a lot for your reply. As all Megascans materials are driven by a single master material which is created using functions you cant just add a lerp and an alpha, it will effect all your Megascan materials as they are driven by the same master material. That is why I was wondering can you set up a new material, blending between two material instances from Megascans.
I hope that makes sense lol.
Like I say, take a look at material layers, but I don’t think you can blend…
I shall do that now. Again appreciate the help.
Cheers!
