I’m using a DJI Mini 2 to capture a variety of images to create a model of buildings for a study for a new construction project. I have a 70% side overlap and 40% front overlap. I’m shooting in loops combined with vertical down.
If I use the option of Use Camera Priors for georeferencing, the point cloud and model ends up at some random weird angle.
If I turn off the option, all the cameras are under the mesh and the whole site appears upside down. It’s also no longer to a real scale and not in a coordinate system.
I’ve checked the EXIF data captured by the Mini 2 and it is in this format. Can Reality Capture read the GPS in this format?
GPSLong = 101deg 40’ 2.581"
GPSLongitudeRef = East
GPSLatitude = 3deg 10’ 56.192"
GPS LatitudeRef = North
GPS Altiude = 160.74 meter (527.23 feet)
GPS AltitudeRef = Above sea level
GPS VersionID = 02 03 00 00
What other setting do I need to correct or tweak to get my model in the correct orientation in WGS84?
After days reading forums and FAQ and having tried a number of different photo sets, I cannot work this one out.
Please let me know how to configure Reality Capture to align the Dji Mini 2 images more reliably.
Thanks
