Alembic Skeletal Mesh with Bones

Hi People

So I have a skeletal mesh in 3ds max that I am importing to UE4 as an alembic skeletal mesh for playback in sequencer. This works great.

I wonder is it possible to also import the bones animation from max and have this combined in one animation file that I can edit in persona?

The reason I would like to do this is so that I can attach particle effects to follow the motion of the alembic animation, and have this all packaged in one file that I can playback and blend in sequencer.

I realise I am expecting my cake and being able to eat it too!

I know I could import the regular skeletal mesh apply the particles to that and manually sync the two. I just wondering if there is a neater solution.
