AI path getting updated constantly

Not sure if this is a bug or have I broken something. Since 4.9, the AI have started to behave strange. Often they update their path to destination every 0,5-1second, making them wandering around headlessly in tiny area. The issue also seem to make them use navlinks very rarely. The destination shouldnt get changed that often in my blueprints. They just seems to keep searching alternative routes for their destination.


What could cause this issue - Do I have some setting(s) wrong?

Edit: I had AI actor set as dynamic obstacle that made the issue dominate more. I will need to do some more testing to see it runs good now. Will remove this ticket soon if its fixed.

Edit2: Removing dynamic obstacle setting didnt help - the issue is still there.

I have a few questions for you that will help narrow down what issue it is that you are experiencing.

Quick questions:

  1. Can you reproduce this issue in a clean project?
  2. If so, could you provide a detailed set of steps to reproduce this issue on our end?
  3. Could you provide screen shots of any blueprints that may be involved with this issue?

Seems like the “Allow Strafing”-setting (in project settings) caused the issue. Had disabled it accidentally. After enabling the setting, the AI seem to move correctly again so far.
