AI
Summary
AI including but not limited to: Guards, Creatures, Wildlife, NPCs, and Custom Verse AI currently cause major rubberbanding to players while attempting to navigate.
This rubberbanding will occur every time an AI changes their navigation path depending on the environment. It is server-wide to every player and tends to occur ≈5 seconds depending on the environment they are in. It will snap player back into a previous state on that time interval. Players inside vehicles do not experience this.
Steps to Reproduce
1 Create an environment where navigation is required.
2 Place the Guard Spawner Device and spawn multiple on game start.
3 Make sure building is enabled and then start the game.
4 Let the guards spawn and jump around while they are, you will experience the rubberbanding then.
5 Change up the environment in game with your builds, block off paths and make new ones. As the environment updates the AI will have to recalculate paths causing the rubberbanding to happen again.
Expected Result
Players should be able to play and interact with different AI types as well as change the environment with no issues at all.
Observed Result
Players are not able to interact with AI and change the environment without encountering server-wide rubberbanding.
Platform(s)
Experienced on PC, Xbox Game Cloud, Nvidia Geforce Now, Xbox(One and Series X), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation(4 and 5). Assuming this happens on all platforms though.
