It’s kind of sad that after 3 years we get little to no information when we get a map fail on review. We were told that we were going to get more information many times and yet this has not happened. We get fails that are errors and we get fails that are legit sometimes. But the information we receive is terrible and many times is not sufficient to remedy the situation.
I’m confused how hard it can be to list specific information when we receive a fail. Here is a good example:
Today I posted an update to a map that was in Epic’s Picks over a year ago. I update this map every so often and the trailer that is with it has been in place for over a year. On today’s update I get a fail for the video for 1.7 IP. How hard is it to explain what the exact issue is? Is there a hidden logo somewhere in the trailer? is it some text or a skin? is it the audio? Why all of a sudden after over a year of using this video is this being flagged now? I’m just going to delete the trailer because it’s not worth going down the road of investigating and trying to appeal or even ask for more specific information from moderation is a bigger waste of time.
Issues like this are a huge waste of time/resources. I’m not sure what the moderation team or auto-moderation is like but telling us some specifics would really help those of us that are trying to follow the rules the best we can. If these are auto-moderation fails hopefully they can be fixed or maybe all auto-moderations need (skilled) human review?
