AdditiveControlRig track in sequencer kills facial animation

I’ve captured some facial and body animation onto a character via take recorder using an xsens suit and the iphone arkit for facial animation. It’s all working fine, but in sequencer I wanted to use an additive control rig track to tweak the “paddle hands” since I don’t have hand animation yet. However, as soon as I add the additiveControlRig the animation on the face morph targets disappears. It’s repeatable, because if I delete the AdditiveControlRig track the facial animation re-appears. Is there a work around for this, or is it a known bug?
