Hi I have followed existing posts on editing the sensordb.xml file, but I still get the yellow error in the 1D window, why? Here you can see all the data is there. I have tried multiple times… thanks in advance, -w
Hi, please make sure you have saved over the xml in it’s original folder location, and then you need to kill and restart RealityCapture. I just tested with a very similar camera and it worked.
tip: drag and drop the image into RC and copy and paste the camera name from the GUI into the database, this is a good way to avoid any typos
Yeah I have repeated it multiple times, restarted the app and the computer. There does not appear to be any error in alignment with the sensor name in the metadata and the xml file. The xml. file is present C:\ProgramData\Capturing Reality\RealityCapture and modified but appears to continue to shrug off the updated sensor data.
Ideas?
Thanks
-Will
For my part Ill try on another workstation.
sensorsdb.xml (46.9 KB)
Confirmed this CR3 and above xml combo do not appear to function on either workstation.
2B8A7556.CR3 (20.4 MB)
Also please note it is just “Canon” for this camera not “Canon Canon”
The best way to make an entry is to copy and paste the camera from the GUI and any other line from the camerasdb.xml. The only thing you need to type in is the CCD width itself.
Thanks for this. Rookie mistake with the lowercase W. Appreciate the support, results are impressive!
