Actors dont tick during window resize?

When I have a game running in windowed mode (PIE, I assume in packaged game too but havent checked) and I drag-resize the window, it seem like actors are not ticking while the mouse is down on the resize - but the engine/render loop does continue to run and new frames are drawn.

Anyone know why this is? Is the game effectively paused during a window resize or is it deeper than that?

(The reason I ask is because I want to update some camera settings when the aspect ratio of the viewport changes.)
