How can I ahieve these water shield or portal distortion effect like the video below(Around 2:00,2:45,4:05)

Ahh, thats either a normal map or a grayscaled image into the refraction* input. /me gets an example

normal map into refration:

grayscale into refraction:

Material:

(be sure to set it to i.e. additive)
Also, play around with values and combinations and what not to get the result you want :slight_smile:
