8-bit shader breaks other post-processing effects

I tried this and it works ok in the editor, but when i launch the game in a new window or from standalone exe, i only get a black screen.
In the editor, with the 8-bit shader enabled, it breaks at least most of the other built-in post processing effects. So what’s going on?

In the material settings on the main node, make sure the Bendable Location under Post Process Material is set to Before Tonemapping.
