Summary
Full driver crash every time i play in editor with my second monitor active (worse when playing youtube video)
Seems to be related to mouse cursor as it was happening faster when show mouse cursor was enabled. Event viewer shows this error around same time as crash:
“Win32k (Win32k) : A pointer device has no information about the monitor it is attached to.”
things i have tried to remedy issue:
1 - toggling HAGS (no effect)
2 - toggle VRR in windows and in driver (seemed to happen less but might be placebo)
3 - toggle windowed mode optimisations (no effect)
4 - disable second monitor (crashes stopped)
5 - Disable all overclocks (no effect)
6 - reinstalled unreal and DDU reinstalled gpu drivers (no effect)
7 - increased TDR delay (no effect except taking longer to recover from crash)
8 - disabled hardware accel in browser (no effect)
system setup:
Windows 11
monitor 1 - 3840x2160@144hz
monitor 2 - 1920x1080@60hz
