Hello there @nicholassinger!
That’s quite a pecular issue, I have seen reports of users having problems with 5.7 in Mac, but not about being unable to install it whatsoever. It could be stale data in your cache interfiering.
In order to clear that up, go to ~/Library/Application Support/Epic/UnrealEngine and delete the folders for 5.7, that should be already generated. After that, go to ~/Library/Caches/Unreal Engine and ~/Library/Caches/EpicGamesLauncher, then delete all content from both locations.
If the issue persists, at that point I would suggest a full uninstall/reinstall of all Epic software in your system, then test again from scratch.
yep same issue here. it said it was downloading 1 gigs and then it did that and now it says resuming 12 of 24 gb… and its been there at 100% resuming for a couple hours.
