I found that setting the game resolution in version 5.1 was ineffective, and I could only use the maximum resolution. After updating the engine to 5.6, I discovered during packaging tests that setting the game resolution worked normally. However, in 5.7 it didn’t work again. I suspect it’s an issue with the latest 5.7 build packaging program because during this packaging test, I found that it didn’t package my localized languages (some of you might have encountered this problem too, which I managed to fix). But for this setting—the global game resolution—I don’t know what’s going on.
Through testing, it was found that the issue is caused by the latest packaging program in Unreal 5.7. It cannot package localization files and project configuration files, which leads to the loss of localization files and the failure of user UI settings. So, will Unreal officially fix this, or do we need to specifically report the issue to get it noticed?
