[5.5.4] Enabling Rough Diffuse Materials and Energy Conservation turning materials black/white

Hello, I have a problem regarding my project like I’ve said in topic. I want to enable these two options in Project Settings, but when I do, materials turn black in material preview and white when lit by Stationary/Movable light. It works somehow when bake lights, but I can’t use only static lighting in my project.

When I’ve created blank project and turned these options on, it worked properly after shader recompile.

Turning Substrate on seemed to solve my problem, but in other project it is working with legacy material system, so I don’t think it’s necessary to turn it on, especially when I’m aiming for PCVR, so I’m trying to keep instructions cost low.

Does anybody know what might cause the problem?
