I did not change any options, just added it and took a close look

Can anyone test it and check if it looks the same on your side?

it’s a common artifact on gerstner wave implementations where the sum of the steepness of all waves affecting a specific location exceeds 1, especially on implementations that simply add the waves instead of using the previous wave’s modified position as the base for the next wave.

for some reason the default values were left like that, probably an oversight. just lower the wave steepness values until you get rid of the issue.

Well, I tried and I am not happy about the result. With low steepness it looks like 1999, I think this issue should be fixed in place where vertex position calculates.
