I have a VR project I started in 4.20, then switched to 4.22, then 4.23. The same maps that ran fine when running VR Preview in the editor in 4.20 and 4.22 are now unplayable in 4.23. The map in question is very low poly with fewer than 100 actors.
If I start the editor and then run VR Preview immediately, I can play for 40 minutes (haven’t tested it longer) with no frame rate problems. But if I start the editor, then work on blueprints for 40 minutes, then run VR Preview, the frame rate will be around 15 fps and this is literally painful in VR.
This is with an HTC Vive on windows 10 with steamvr. No problems with regular steamvr apps. Non VR preview is fine.
If I package the project and run that .exe, the frame rate is fine, but this makes debugging a very slow process. Has anyone had the same problem and knows of a fix?
