4.19 and the Stereo Panoramas using MAT_StereoViewer yields double split screens

I tried out the tutorial here: https://docs.unrealengine.com/en-us/Platforms/VR/StereoPanoramicCapture/QuickStart

but when I run it on the Oculus Go, I have a split L/R display for each eye

Why am I getting the split twice? What do I need to do to make this tutorial relevant to my Oculus Go Development?
