I opened my project to check 4.12 compatibility, and there seems to be an issue using lights with an extended source length. Is there a fix for this?
It’s a known issue, there’s a fix that involves changing a number in one of the engine files. I saw it on answer hub and linked on the forums but I can’t seem to find it on my phone right now. I’ll look for it tomorrow if you are unable to find it.
I ended up digging up another thread reporting the issue. Unfortunately this manual fix doesn’t work for me because this is a marketplace product. The off chance that a customer even finds out the bug is due to the engine and not an issue with my pack, they aren’t likely to apply a manual fix themselves when it should be applied in an update. It looks like Epic refuses to do it until 4.13 which is very disappointing.
sorry for off topic but is epic really waiting for 4.13 to fix it? or will they fix it in a hotfix? i need to know this for my project. thnx
