3ds max vector fields?

I saw that a vector field generation tutorial exists for maya, but couldn’t find something for 3ds max. So, is it possible to do it in 3ds max? And also, even in maya, the entire thing feels restrictive. For example: If I wanted to use the inside of a sphere as a vector field, could I do that?

I have not personally used it so I cannot attest to it’s workflow or quality.
