[bug?] Linked emitters, same gpu particle color without linked color modules

I am experiencing some issues with the “duplicate and share emitter”, though I am not sure exactly what to expect from it.
What happens is that if I add a shared duplicate emitter without any color modules, then add one color module to each, both the emitters particles share the color. This only happens with GPU particles.

yup, this is a bug thats been around since 4.12 I think.
Need to duplicate the emitter, and manually share the modules.

for the tip, it does help.

Hi ste1nar,

Thank you for submitting a bug report. I have reproduced this issue and logged a report for it here: Unreal Engine Issues and Bug Tracker (UE-38926)

You can track the report’s status as the issue is reviewed by our development staff. Please be aware that this issue may not be prioritized or fixed soon.

While testing I noticed that if I deleted the particle type of the original emitter and then set it back to a GPU type that seemed to have fixed the issue. You should be able to add modules that wont get overridden by the copied emitter at that point.

Let me know if that helps,

Ed
