Summary
Ever since an update about a month ago, my ping has been at 60+ every single game in Zero Build but consistently below 30 on Build Mode. I’ve heard multiple reports that US West and US East are being ported to US Central servers, which feels like it makes sense given the delay/ping. While I’m not positive that this is true, there has been no word from Epic on this matter leading to people speculating. I understand if this is being done to find games faster, but I am consistently waiting over a minute to find a new game, as if nothing changed with wait times. Why is this happening and is there any plan to fix this so that my game runs smoothly again? When I switch to Build Mode it’s amazing how responsive and smooth the game feels.

Steps to Reproduce
- Be in US West (or supposedly US East as well)
- Load up a game of Zero Build Battle Royale
- Monitor ping and keep note of how delayed each action feels (opening doors, picking up weapons, shooting guns, etc.)
- Load up a game of Build Mode Battle Royale
- Notice how incredibly crispy, snappy, responsive, and smooth the game feels in comparison to Zero Build.
Expected Result
If this is a result of US West & US East servers being ported to US Central, this should not be happening and players should be playing on their native servers. I should be getting anywhere from 20-30 ping in Zero Build Battle Royale, which is what I consistently get in Build Mode Battle Royale.
Observed Result
If you play Zero Build on 60 ping and then play Build mode on 20-30 ping, there is a big difference in how smooth the game feels. Every action feels much more delayed when on 60+ ping. This is especially an issue for someone that is native to US Central servers that is consistently getting 20-30 ping as it gives that player an advantage against US West & US East players.

Additional Notes
I have been eliminated multiple times when I am behind cover, but still get shot anyway from someone that is seeing me NOT behind cover from their point of view. As if the server is not caught up with my gameplay and what the other player sees is what happened to me a half a second ago. As someone that has played alot of Fortnite, it is easy for me to tell that there is a delay in my actions on the server side. This is VERY obvious once I switch to Build Mode and get a constant 20-30 ping and the game feels buttery smooth and very responsive. I am dying to play Zero Build with regular ping again.
