So many suggestions and promises of improvements coming, yet so little actual results, and the forums got a huge downgrade.

Yes, you just select a valid version of the files and then click ‘Add to Project.’

The key word here being valid.
If the asset hasn’t been updated on the marketplace, say, available version is 4.10-4.14, then you can only add this asset to projects created in these particular versions, but not in newer ones. Even though the asset might for all intents and purposes work perfectly well in 4.15+, you will not be able to add it to such a project via the launcher.
This is something that annoys the average user to no end.
If you browse comments on the marketplace, half of those seem to be “update to 4.1x please” requests.
Now, for me *personally *it is not a big deal, I have roughly 10 different Engine Versions installed and dozens of projects in each possible version (I also am aware how to switch the version on any project file or copy files from the VaultCache as a workaround), but imagine, a customer doesn’t have 4.14 installed anymore, doesn’t have a 4.14 project either and is not aware how to create an annoying workaround, yet still expects to be able to use the purchased asset.

So true, I got an error while switching pages AND one when quoting - just while replying to this thread right here. I hope that gets ironed out some time soon.

Unless I am misunderstanding you, this is not true.

Oh wow, I stand corrected! Never noticed that part at the bottom right there (or forgot about it a long time ago).
Now I only wished, we could do the reverse also and add content created in the latest engine version to older projects (and have it work).
