2 months of work GONE!!!!

Summary

with the new update. i’ve lost all of my progress that i’ve been working on for two months!
can someone please tell me that this is recoverable!!!

Steps to Reproduce

Loged in,
Loaded in to Editor,
Loaded the Game,
no Errors,
then i noticed that my recent devices are gone,
checked the revision control,
found out that i lost progress worth of two months

Expected Result

loaded recent activity/work

Observed Result

everythings normal. except, my lightings was reverted to what it was way back september.

False Alarm!

I opened a project version saved in one drive.

Glad to hear you got it resolved but (unless it’s now fixed) placing projects in one drive can corrupt them. I’d recommend using revision control to upload the project to epic’s cloud storage Unreal Revision Control | Unreal Editor for Fortnite Documentation | Epic Developer Community

it’s ok now. my problem now is I have two versions of my project. I don’t know if publishing will take a hit on this but I’ll update this post. this is my first time seeing that version after the update this morning.

Onedrive will give you problems

Make sure to use Check-in Changes daily and use Unreal Revision Control instead.

Save your maps outside of OneDrive, the file system of UEFN is fairly complex and Onedrive will not be up to speed with UEFN.
For example if you delete some content in UEFN, Onedrive doesn’t get the memo and will restore that deleted file, putting the object back in your map.
