16k Pano - Video Card Memory Error - 4080 Super with basic scene

Hi there,

I have a new system with all updated drivers. When trying 16k panorama render of the Lake House sample Scene I’m getting following error:

“Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Exiting…”

My Vram should be enough to handle this, right?
Even same error is happening with an empty new scene i just tested…
Something must be wrong, as it cannot crash 4080 Super’s 16GB VRAM…

Any idea on that anyone?

Run task manager while it’s rendering go to Performance on the GPU and see how much VRAM it uses before it crashes. If it doesn’t use it up, it’s a bug?

Yes id doesnt use it up before the crash.
However when the error message comes it suddenly hits to %100…
It doesn’t make sense to me…

Yes, thank you for sharing your same experience too @Don_BitoCorleone

To simplify the situation, it gives the same error with an EMPTY scene (new blank file) too!

Definitely there is a serious bug going on that needs to be addressed and fixed.

Any official team?
Community?
Any Thoughts?

Wow… surprised not even one single answer from developers or team about this bug…
Brilliant…

This setting can solve the problem
