100% Black shadows on my dynamic foliage

Hello. I have big problem with my dynamic foliage. Couple of days ago I made some little changes in my level (deleting some static meshes, adding some foliage - nothing new or weird) then I noticed on some of my foliage meshes that shadows went pure black. You can see screenshot in attached images.

I tried reloading level and engine, updating from 4.8 to 4.8.1, I tried various settings of dynamic lighting for that meshes and I also tried rebuilding my whole lighting three times (every time lightmass got stuck at 100%). I also tried to google it and I found some similar problems to mine, yet nobody gave correct answer how to fix it :frowning:

And now I am at my wit’s end. I need this for my last scene and now I run out of ideas. Can someone please help me ?

Thanks and Cheers !

Maybe I will add that I have two lights in my level. One directional and one sky, both of them are set to stationary. And grass (also visible in screenshot) have the same setting as Sunflowers.

If I set my lights to movable, problem is gone but this solution don’t satisfy me :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe someone have even tiny little idea what can I try to fix it ?

I have the same issue with movable dynamic skylight and directional sun. In my case in exterior shadows I can fix it by intensity skylight = 3 , but for interior it’s very bad (good look wity intensity = 0).

it’s sadly that epics not see much forums since UE is free(

I can solve this - make test landscape and enable GI for dynamical problem with shadows. on the trees and grass there are black. - Rendering - Unreal Engine Forums

Since you mentioned this is only with stationary, I suspect it could be your object lightmaps. It dosent look like the shadows are pure black since I cans till make out some detail. Also it looks like its only affecting the sunflowers and not the grass.

Also, what happens if you select stationary directional light and set the whole scene shadow stationary setting to be greater than 0?
