Unreallightmass.exe - Error 0xc000007b - Unable to Start

All features of my UE4 work perfectly, however when I try building the lighting, swarm agent starts as usual. It’s then followed by an error when Unreallightmass.exe attempts to start:

I’ve tried multiple fixes on the internet, including reinstalling VS2013, and using Dwalker, which returned no errors at all. Please respond with a potential fix, as I’m unable to compile lighting at all.

Here’s my system info if you need it:

Windows 7 ultimate
Intel Core i7-4770K CPU @anonymous_user_c67b2b92 3.50 Ghz
64 bit os

Graphics:

Dual Amd r9 280x cards with crossfire

Also, please don’t reply with the answer, “Reinstall windows”. Honestly, its a idiotic response, this isn’t an issue with my OS.

Hi Boxandrocks -

Are you using the Github version of the engine? If so, have you tried to recompile the engine source. If you are using the Launcher, click verify the engine and redownload if necessary.

Also a few users had issues with some out of date or corrupted Visual C++ Distrubutable Libraries and in particular this one, Download Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 from Official Microsoft Download Center. If you already have this Distbutable I recommend uninstalling and not just repairing then reinstalling from the link above.

Finally, open Swarm Agent directly (via the …\Engine\Binaries\DotNET\SwarmAgent.exe) and clean and validate your Swarm Cache and ensure that the Swarm Cache Location has a significant amount of freespace (I recommend 30 to 40 GB, but it depends on the size of your project).

If known of these work for you, please open the Windows Event Viewer (search Event Viewer in the Windows Start Menu) and copy the error into an Event Viewer file, zip it up and upload a copy here.

Thank You

I’m using the stock Unreal 4 8.1 installation. The link you gave me is also broken. I have more than enough space available for my swarm cache. However, I’d like to know how exactly to validate my cache, as I’m not entirely sure how to.

Sorry the period got in the way of the link. It should work for you now. Again if you open Swarm Agent outside of the Editor (see exe location above) [Note: It will open minimized into your System Icon Tray its a yellow and Black S icon.] you can then in the Cache Menu in Swarm Agent, Clean and Validate. (2 Separate options under Cache.)
