zero wheeled vehicle

I’m attempting to create a game where the camera is inside the vehicle. There is never an outside view.
Does the skeletal mesh really need the wheels? Can they be simulated?
I have a static mesh. Could I just import it as a basic skeletal mesh?
I’m just trying to save the hassle of trying to rig it when I don’t have to.

If you want the vehicle to behave like a vehicle, then yes, you need to rig it so that it has wheels, like a vehicle

You could just add “bone” for the wheels but you don’t have to make a mesh for them.
