Your claims of Android compatibility seems like false advertising.

ST64 you need to tone down your vitriol a bit. Everyone in this thread is trying to help you, community members that are new, people who’ve been with UDK for years and UE4 beta testers, epic developers/engine support. Yet you’re firing off with personal attacks and taunting anyone you disagree with. This isn’t a place to act like that, these are people who are trying to help you and want to help you, the attitude is completely unnecessary.

It’s pretty clear what devices they’ve tested on (it’s already been linked). I’m sorry that it’s not as extensive as you want yet, but remember this product was only recently released to the public. It’s pretty clear that Android support is not across the entire spectrum yet. I know this can be frustrating, but any serious android developer is familiar with how hard it is to cover android devices. You’ve already had people linking you to this as factual information from companies that are not Epic (see the 400+ devices article above, feel free to google if you need more sources.) On top of that, Epic never claimed anywhere to support every Android device at this point in time (or any point in the future or past). Not only is any serious android developer already aware of the issues with developing for the platform, anyone interested in switching engines or starting development should first find out what hardware they want to target, and then check which engine (unreal or any others) support it. It’s very entitled to think that because they don’t support the exact device(s) you own or want them to support to then suggest that “claiming” android compatiblity is “false advertising”. I don’t know what you meant by those words except that it’s a very serious accusation of what’s objectively a crime (in the US, where Epic is based.)

Anyway, I wish you luck with your project - but I don’t think you’re going to continue to get much help from the community if this is how you behave towards people who are here to help you. I don’t intend any of this as a personal attack (and I don’t believe I’ve said anything you could interpret as such), I’m not sure you realize how caustic you’re being - and if not I suggest you reread this entire thread, as well as the others you’ve posted. It’s also worth noting (and obviously, I’m not a moderator or an employee of Epic), but if you continue to attack people and purposely antagonize them you may end up losing your ability to participate here - in most other forums and communities I’m a part of you’d already be on pretty thin ice.

Were do you people come from? It is like you all read the same lines. Listen, if you don’t like this thread – don’t read it.

This about ends this thread for me. I made my point.

Thanks to everyone who kept with the topic of this thread and provided there own opinion on the topic.

Class act buddy, good luck to you. I don’t know how you didn’t notice that I did include my own opinions, and I was very respectful towards you. I read your thread because you posted it in a public forum of a community that I’m an active member of. Also of course we all read the same lines, we researched the product before we paid for it.

Right, i’m closing this thread now that the OP made their point and the discussion is going nowhere.

Hi Folks,

**Quick note **: hopefully in the next week or two we can get more information out exactly which android devices we have tested internally, and which devices we plan to test for future builds posted on the wiki.

We intend to provide the community with information about which devices we run on today, and what we intend to ensure work over the next few months. We hope to also line this up with basic information on what the capabilities of Unreal Engine is on the various types of devices.

We want to make android development fun and easy, however there will still be some work required of folks who ship on android to research and understand what the various features they need to enable / disable on the full range of devices, since there is a HUGE range of android devices all with different capabilities.

Update:

Here is our newly created Wiki page for Android Compatibility for the devices that have been tested.
