Hi,

[admin, please put this in the corresponding category, I cant even search to find the right one]

I really… REALLY wanted to learn ue5

  • first, I had to spend 2 hours updating the engine (same thing a month ago)
    it just ruins any motivation, honestly

  • then 1h, just trying to find quixel/megascan, which I find out of pure luck

now where the … is the landscape tool ???

in google, they say I have to go to the MODE drop box…there is not …ing mode drop box !!!

thanks for helping me out while I just have to RELEARN EVERYTHING

Where it says ‘selection mode’, that’s the mode dropbox.

I know, I finally found it but there is no + to add layer info
so landscape painting is virtually impossible

why did they make this so complicated, I had to google to figure I had to add a layer material node blend or what not

there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in the doc about this

and my material has no lighting, I don’t remember this to be so complicated in UE4

Don’t bother with the official docs. That’s a last resort, unfortunately. Sometimes they contain pertinent info, but usually not. Youtube is a better resource…
