Hey everybody! I've created a dice system, made from the ground up, featuring 12 different shapes of dice, ranging from the modest d4 to the behemoth d120!
Each die consists of a single mesh with several child actors, one for each face of the die. Each face is a special-made blueprint that stores a value and can be aimed in any direction (ideally, perpendicular to the face, pointing away). This system also allows you to roll multiple dice, even dice of different types mixed together, and report the value(s) back. The included demo-stand blueprint includes crucial functionality that manages the dice each one utilizes, handling rolling, value detection, and total value reporting.
I will be updating this project soon with a demo "game" that shows how to use any number of dice of any type to move a player token around a mock game board, to show how it's all wired together.
