XMP - recalibration of imported cameras not working

Hello,

I have another problem using XMP workflow. Once I import XMP with locked calibration and poses and manually switch them to unknown the alignment is completely off. If I process same images without XMP files I got different and pretty good result…

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Import dataset from folder, perform reconstruction. 

  2. Export xmp files with locked cameras

  3. Start new project, Import dataset again, now with XMP files

  4. Select all cameras

  5. Swich absulute pose from locked to unknown, calibration to unknown and lens to approximate and no lens distortion

  6. Perform reconstruction again

  7. Observe that reconstruction is totally off and focal length is set to 42 (I guess it’s fallback value)

It seems no adjustment is performed.

 

I can provide dataset if necessary.
