XML Readable World and Asset files

Is there any reason that Project file needs to be binary? In other engines we work in eg Unigine, the Project and asset files are XML human readable. This means making changes across hundreds of files can be done in text editors and also makes modifying contents of the Project file a lot easier. Asset files are also XML in Unigine therefore easier to script exporter to work with. Eg we can export 100 assets out of our modelling application at the same time and have them all in the Project file with correct transforms

Hi voltaire585, we don’t have any short term plans to implement that yet, simply because we have other bigger things we want to do first, but we’re not saying no to human readable asset formats. It’s actually something we’ve discussed a few times and we’d really like to support it some day.
