xgen to Unreal 5.4 problems

I’ve been using xgen and Unreal for quite some time, but with the latest 5.4 version, I’m encountering issues.
When I bind the hair, it either disappears, is incomplete, or appears fine initially but becomes incomplete again during rendering via the movie render queue.

Is there a new workflow for grooming in version 5.4?
i think i should mention that this is not for MetaHuman.

I’ve tested with and without the skin cache, with and without blueprints, and tried all the tips that were sometimes useful in previous versions, but nothing works.

left : the viewport
right : the movie render queue

if i click on enable raytracing in the groom, i have the exact same hair bug in the viewport.

the solution i found is to create a new project with no raytracing.
