Hey there,
Here is my set up:
I’ve connected an Xbox One S via Bluetooth to a Macbook Pro 2016 with the latest updates.
After some testing I’ve realized two things:
First, The face buttons are completely messed up, and Y doesn’t even register.
If you press X then Y is triggered
B triggers A
A triggers X
and you would think Y triggers B, but it doesn’t. It doesn’t do anything. No button on the controller triggers what should be the Gamepad Face Button Right (B for Xbox controllers).
Second, the D Pad UP is constantly being fired.
I found one other thread from awhile ago of someone else experiencing this same issue: https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/676643/xbox-one-s-bluetooth-controller-stops-keyboard-ent.html?childToView=947228#answer-947228
Here’s another one: https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/432293/view.html
Additionally I’ve tested this with multiple Macbooks and Xbox One S controllers, all having the same issue.
Installing third party drivers fixes this issue, but I’m looking for a plug and play solution. I shouldn’t have to install a third party driver just to get the controller working if it connects fine with Mac’s Bluetooth.
Is it possible to install the driver upon running the packaged game? Or what other solutions could there be?
Thank you,
