Hello, we are in the process of switching to use MetaHuman’s skeleton. We are also planning to use the latest motion matching systems demonstrated in Game Animation Sample Pack.
We have been exporting skeletal meshes and animation sequences from Maya and importing them into Unreal with a -90 rotation in Z so they face X forward. That has been working well for us, however after reviewing MetaHuman and GASP we are considering moving everything to Y forward.
We would like to know the pros and cons of using forward X or Y? If we are using MetaHuman, which setup is recommended?
