X-Code Error Message when installing on MacBook Pro

Hello,

I have performed the Unreal Engine v5 installation steps provided on Epic’s website that include downloading the launcher, setting up an epic account, and downloading Unreal Engine 5.1.1.

When I launch unreal engine 5.1.1, I receive the following error message:

“Can’t find Xcode install for Metal compiler. Please install Xcode and run Xcode.app to accept a license or ensure active developer directories set to current Xcode installation using Xcode – select.”

After receiving the message, I downloaded “Xcode” from the app store. After installing, I received the same message. After launching Xcode, I cannot find “Xcode.app”.

Could you please provide instructions on how to properly install unreal engine 5.1.1?
